Fur & Jewellery
Fur was often used to line the clothes of the rich; Jewellery was often imported and used as security for loans. Most stones were rough as gem cutting wasn’t invented until after the fifteenth century. In the fourteenth century diamonds were popular in Europe. Mid fourteenth century there were laws to control who wore jewellery. Knights were not allowed to wear rings. Something clothes had silver decorated on them but only the wealthy could afford to wear such items.
